Technical Description

The Nakamura-Tome WT-150II is a high-performance, dual-spindle horizontal multitasking machining center designed for complex, high-precision turning and milling operations. It features two main spindles, each with a maximum turning diameter of 7.480" (190 mm), a turning length of 31.5" (800 mm), and a 6" (150 mm) chuck diameter, supporting a maximum bar diameter of 2" (51 mm). Both spindles operate at up to 5,000 RPM with 20 HP, with optional speeds reaching 6,000 RPM for enhanced productivity. The machine is equipped with upper and lower turrets, each capable of holding 24 turning tools and 12 rotary tools, providing a total of 48 tools for versatile machining. Rotary tools deliver up to 7.5 HP at 6,000 RPM, enabling heavy cutting with small tools. The WT-150II supports up to 8-axis simultaneous control, with standard secondary milling and drilling functions on the C-axis and optional Y-axis capability. Axis travels include 6.2" (157 mm) on X, 18.31" (465 mm) on Z, and rapid traverse rates of 630 ipm on X, Y, and Z axes. The system's compact footprint, high rigidity, and advanced control technology ensure efficient, balanced, and precise machining for demanding production environments.
