Technical Description

The Okuma GENOS L400II-E is a 2-axis CNC turning center for general-purpose turning of workpieces up to 12.99 in (330 mm) in diameter and 19.69 in (500 mm) in length. It is equipped with a 10-inch chuck and a JIS A2-8 spindle nose, with a spindle speed range of 30-3,000 min-1. The main spindle motor is rated 15 hp (11 kW) for 30-minute duty and 10 hp (7.5 kW) continuous. Rapid traverse rates are 66 fpm (20 m/min) on the X-axis and 98 fpm (30 m/min) on the Z-axis. The 12-station turret and Okuma OSP-P300LA-e control are standard on current production units. The GENOS L400II-E is part of Okuma's GENOS L-series of turning centers, succeeding the original GENOS L400. Overall machine dimensions, weight, spindle bore, and tailstock capacity are not published in Okuma's available literature and are not consistently corroborated across dealer sources, so they are left blank here pending confirmation from Okuma's full datasheet.
