The OKUMA LB3000 EX II is a high-performance horizontal machining center engineered for precision, rigidity, and multitasking versatility. Featuring a robust box slant bed design, this machine delivers outstanding dimensional stability and thermal performance, ensuring machining accuracy with changes over time of less than Ø5µm. The main spindle is equipped with a 15.000" chuck diameter and a high-torque M spindle capable of speeds up to 5,000 RPM, delivering 30 HP for demanding cutting applications. The LB3000 EX II is configured with two main spindles, enabling simultaneous operations and enhanced productivity for complex workpieces. Rapid traverse rates reach 25 m/min on the X-axis and 30 m/min on the Z-axis, supporting fast tool changes and efficient cycle times. The machine supports a maximum turning diameter of 410 mm (16.14") and a maximum machining length of 500 mm (19.69"), with optional configurations extending up to 1,300 mm for longer workpieces. The spindle nose type is JIS A2-6, and the system is compatible with a wide range of automation options, including live tooling, sub-spindle, and Y-axis integration. The LB3000 EX II is powered by a 22/15 kW (30/20 HP) standard motor, with high-power and big-bore options available for increased torque and cutting capacity.
