Technical Description

The Okuma LB3000 EX II MYW is a horizontal CNC turning center from the SPACE TURN LB3000 EX II series, configured with a milling turret, Y-axis and a right-hand sub-spindle for complete front and back machining in one setup. Swing over bed is 580 mm (22.83 in), swing over saddle 470 mm (18.5 in) and maximum turning diameter 340 mm (13.39 in). The short-bed MYW version has 785 mm (30.91 in) between spindle noses. Travels are X 260 mm, Y 115 mm (+70/-45) and a 360-degree C-axis indexed in 0.001-degree steps. The main spindle runs 45 to 5,000 rpm on a JIS A2-6 nose with an 80 mm (3.15 in) bore as standard, driven by a 22/15 kW (30/20 hp) motor; Big-Bore, Super Big-Bore and high-power spindles are options. The sub-spindle has a JIS 140 flat nose, 62 mm (2.44 in) bore, 11/7.5 kW motor and runs 50 to 6,000 rpm. An M-V12 turret holds 12 tools, all of which can be driven; the milling tool spindle reaches 6,000 rpm with a 7.1/4.1 kW motor. Rapid traverse is 25 m/min on X, 30 m/min on Z and 12.5 m/min on Y. The machine weighs 5,250 kg (11,550 lb) and runs an Okuma OSP-P300 series control.
