The Okuma LU3000 EX is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for precision turning and multitasking operations within the 8- to 10-inch chuck class. It features dual main spindles, each delivering 30 HP and capable of spindle speeds up to 5,000 RPM, supporting a maximum turning diameter of 16.14 inches and a turning length up to 13.78 inches. The machine supports simultaneous 4-axis machining with X-axis travel of 10.24 inches and Z-axis travel of 24.22 inches, both with rapid traverse rates of 984 ipm, enabling high-speed, accurate metal removal. Equipped with two turrets (upper and lower), the LU3000 EX has an upper turret capable of holding up to 12 turning and rotary tools and a lower turret supporting up to 8 turning and rotary tools, allowing for dual simultaneous cutting tool operation to maximize productivity. The main spindle swing diameter is 22.84 inches, with a bar capacity up to 2.4 inches.
