The OKUMA MULTUS B300II is a high-performance horizontal multitasking machining center designed for complex, high-precision turn-mill operations. It features a main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 24.800" and a turning length of 35.430", supporting a chuck diameter of 12.000" and a max swing of 24.800". The machine is equipped with dual main spindles, each capable of up to 5,000 RPM and 20 HP, with an optional 15 HP setting for optimized performance. The sub-spindle also operates at 5,000 RPM with 20 HP, enabling seamless part transfer and secondary operations. The primary tool carrier is an automatic tool changer (ATC) supporting up to 60 turning tools and 60 rotary tools, with a rotary tool speed of 6,000 RPM. The MULTUS B300II offers 5-axis capability, with options for 6-axis configurations, and includes a B-axis with a 225° range for advanced contouring. Axis travels include X-axis: 22.830", Y-axis: 6.300", and Z-axis: 36.810", with maximum feed rates of 1,000 ipm and rapid traverse speeds of 1,575 ipm on all linear axes.
