ONA AF25 WIRE EDM MACHINE

The ONA AF25 Wire EDM machine is a high-precision CNC wire electrical discharge machining tool featuring an X-axis travel of 15.75 inches, Y-axis travel of 11.81 inches, and Z-axis travel of 9.84 inches. It incorporates the ONA EASYCUT high-power digital generator which facilitates rapid cutting speeds up to 450 mm²/min with 0.33 mm wire diameter, enabling both rough and high-precision skim cuts for excellent surface finish and minimal recast layer. The machine has a robust mechanical structure made from stabilized gray iron blended with graphite, designed symmetrically to minimize thermal deformation and ensure exceptional accuracy. Its CNC control allows automatic threading, simultaneous programming during machining, and advanced process control including adaptive power supply modulation for optimized cutting conditions, reducing wire breakage. The machine supports taper cutting with programmable U and V axes providing ±30° taper angles, suitable for complex geometries. The cutting process can be monitored graphically with real-time data on cutting length and speed. It uses wire diameters ranging from 0.07 to 0.33 mm and has a compact work tank, making it suitable for intricate precision parts with surface finishes around 0.1–0.2 µm Ra.
