A+Technical Description
The OPTIMUM DH 24 BV Upright Drill Press is a robust and versatile benchtop drilling machine engineered for precision and durability in metalworking applications. Featuring a 2.0 HP smooth and powerful electric motor, it delivers a variable speed range of 300–4000 RPM, allowing optimal performance across a wide range of materials. With a maximum drilling capacity of 24 mm (0.94 inches) in mild steel and a swing of 20.3 inches, this drill press is well-suited for demanding tasks. The machine is built around a thick-walled cast-iron column (80 mm diameter) for exceptional stability and power absorption, supported by a massive, heavily ribbed base plate for added rigidity. The precision machined drilling table offers 360° rotation and diagonally running T-slots with a circulating cooling water channel, while the work area measures 280 mm in length and 260 mm in width. The base plate includes two T-grooves (14 mm size) for secure workpiece clamping. The drill spindle is equipped with precision ball bearings and a high-quality keyless chuck as standard, ensuring accurate and reliable operation. Spindle concentricity is guaranteed to less than 0.015 mm for superior accuracy. Additional safety and convenience features include a height-adjustable feed guard with microswitch, a V-belt cover with safety switch, a machine light integrated in the drill head, and a digital speed indicator in the housing. Forward/reverse operation and two speed levels further enhance usability.
