The Pinnacle LV500 Vertical Machining Center is a high-precision, compact CNC machine designed for versatile vertical milling operations. It features a 24" x 12" table (optional 23.62" x 15.7") that supports workpieces up to 440 lbs. The machine offers three axes (X, Y, Z) with travel ranges of 20" x 12" x 12" respectively, and optional extended travel up to 21.6" x 15.7" x 15.7". The rapid traverse rate is 1,886 ipm on all axes, with a max feed rate of 394 ipm, ensuring efficient and precise movements. The spindle is vertical with BT30 taper as standard and an optional BT40 taper, capable of speeds up to 24,000 rpm (optionally 10,000 rpm) driven by a 5.0 HP motor rated for 30 minutes, upgradeable to 7.5 HP. This offers high-speed machining ideal for fine surface finishes and detailed milling tasks. Tool management is handled by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a capacity of 20 tools, enabling efficient tool switching without manual intervention. The machine is equipped with linear guideways that reduce friction and enhance repeatability and positioning accuracy. The Pinnacle LV500 lacks a fourth (U) axis and does not support rotary tables or pallet changers, focusing on straightforward, high-accuracy vertical machining operations.
