The Republic Lagun RFD-40-TSAR is a heavy-duty and sensitive single spindle upright drill press designed for robust industrial use. It features a swing of 13.8 inches and a maximum drilling capacity of 1.57 inches in mild steel. Powered by a 2.0 HP motor, it operates at a fixed spindle speed of 1,500 RPM, ensuring consistency in drilling operations. The drill press comes equipped with a Morse taper No. 3 spindle with a threaded nose and protection nut for secure tool holding. An adjustable depth stop with both metric and inch scales facilitates precise drilling depth control. The manually vertically adjustable working table includes two “T” slots, allows rotation around the column, and has a hardened surface for durability and versatile positioning of workpieces. The hardened base plate also incorporates “T” slots for stable workpiece support. Speed selection and spindle direction control are conveniently managed through a general switch and a direction selector. Safety features include an emergency push button, quill guard with a micro switch, and a motor guard with a magneto-thermic switch. The main spindle and quill are manufactured from top-quality steel, fully treated and ground for superior performance and durability, including exterior, interior, grooved, and toothed surfaces.
