This is a robust 2-axis CNC vertical machining center designed for precision turning operations on mid-sized cylindrical components. The machine accommodates workpieces up to 19.700" in turning diameter and 26.300" in maximum length, making it suitable for a variety of shaft, bushing, and custom fitting applications. With a standard 12.400" chuck and optional 15.350" chuck configuration, the vertical machining center offers flexibility for different workpiece clamping requirements. The 29.100" maximum swing dimension provides adequate clearance for larger diameter parts during spindle rotation. Powered by a 28 horsepower main spindle operating at 2,500 RPM, this vertical machining center delivers substantial cutting force for heavy-duty turning, threading, and facing operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 2-axis configuration (X and Z) is ideal for symmetrical and simple to moderately complex geometrical features. The X-axis travel of 12.800" controls tool radial positioning, while the 27.560" Z-axis travel manages longitudinal workpiece engagement. An auxiliary 9 horsepower rotary tool at 4,000 RPM enables secondary operations such as drilling and cross-drilling without repositioning the workpiece. The rapid traverse and maximum feed rate of 1,181 inches per minute optimize cycle times during non-cutting movements and programmed feeds.
