Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The Samsung SL2000ASY is a slant-bed CNC turning center built by Samsung Machine Tools, now SMEC, in Korea. It combines a main spindle, an opposed sub-spindle, a Y-axis and driven tooling for complete machining of bar and chuck work. Swing over the bed is 25.59 in and the maximum turning diameter is 15.55 in. Both spindles carry 6 in chucks on A2-5 spindle noses, and bar capacity is 2.05 in through the main spindle and 1.42 in through the sub-spindle. A 12-position BMT55 turret holds 1 in square shanks and 1-1/2 in boring bars and supports live tooling. Axis travels are 9.25 in in X, 4.13 in in Y and 22.83 in in Z, and the sub-spindle moves 22.83 in on its own axis. The machine occupies 162.4 x 68.9 in of floor space and weighs 9,149 lb. It is controlled by a FANUC 0i-TF series CNC The sub-spindle allows parts to be transferred and finished on the back side in one cycle.
