It accommodates a maximum turning height of 196.85 inches, supported by a significant table load capacity of 440,925 lbs. The main spindle is driven by a powerful 250 HP motor, enabling infinitely variable table speeds ranging from 0.13 to 13 RPM. Precision movement is handled by rams with 78.74 inches of vertical travel and a swivel capability of +/- 30/15 degrees. The machine includes 30 vertical and horizontal feeds, ranging from 0.00196 to 1.574 inches per revolution. The cross rail utilizes an 86 HP adjustment motor and a 40.23 HP elevation motor. Maximum cutting force on the right rail head is 27,558 lbs. Rapid traverse in the X and Z axes is 64.17 inches per minute, with a creep feed motion of 0.118 inches per minute. This unit was rebuilt and CNC retrofitted in 1999 with a modern Siemens 840D CNC Control system.
