Technical Description

The 2024 SEM 919 Motor Grader is a high-performance machine engineered for heavy-duty grading applications, featuring a robust 7.01 L (427.8 in³) engine delivering 176–196 hp (net) and peak torque of 720 Nm at 1,400–1,600 rpm. Its closed-center, parallel hydraulic circuit utilizes a variable piston pump, providing up to 155 L/min (40.9 gal/min) flow and 3,503 psi pressure at 2,200 rpm, ensuring precise blade control. The transmission hydraulic system uses a gear pump with clutch supply flow of 20.6 gal/min at 232–261 psi. The grader’s articulated frame offers a 20° steering angle left/right, while the front axle provides a maximum steering angle of 47.5°, 18° lean, and 32° total oscillation for superior maneuverability and ground adaptation. Ground clearance at the center is 255 mm (10 in), and the hydraulic actuated drum parking brake ensures secure slope holding up to 30%. The blade system allows a maximum lift of 480 mm (18.9 in) and a cutting depth of 735 mm (28.9 in), with 360° circle drive for full blade rotation. The moldboard side shift offers 663 mm (26.1 in) left and 512 mm (20.2 in) right, while the blade tip cylinder reaches 40° forward and 5° backward. The rear scarifier features nine shanks, 2137 mm (84.1 in) working width, and a maximum depth of 281 mm (11.1 in). The electrical system includes a 12V direct electric starter and a 24V, 150-amp heavy-duty alternator. The grader is compatible with advanced 3D control systems for automated blade positioning, and operates reliably in ambient temperatures up to 50°C (122°F).
