Technical Description

The Maxxturn 110 is a versatile CNC turning center engineered for economical production of complex turned and milled parts. This machine features a swing diameter of 24.8 inches (approximately 630 mm) over the bed, enabling machining of larger workpieces with precision. With a maximum turning diameter of 680 mm and a machining length of 59.1 inches, the lathe accommodates extended parts across its three available bed configurations. The main spindle delivers 14.75 hp (approximately 11 kW) of drive power with maximum speeds reaching 3500 rpm, providing adequate torque for demanding applications. The 110 mm spindle bore accommodates standard workholding and tooling, while the A2-11 spindle nose ensures compatibility with conventional attachments. The machine is equipped with an automated 12+12 tool turret system, allowing rapid tool selection and positioning for optimized cycle times. An automatic tailstock with MK5 internal cone and 1300-3300 mm travel enables stable support for longer workpieces and drilling operations. The CNC control system coordinates precise X, Y, and Z-axis movements with rapid traverse rates up to 24, 12, and 30 m/min respectively, facilitating efficient part production. Optional BMT turret configurations with water-cooled direct drive provide enhanced milling and drilling capabilities at up to 6000 rpm for applications requiring significant milling content. The machine's rigid construction, featuring robust guideways and inherent bed stiffness, ensures consistent dimensional accuracy and surface finish quality across production runs.
