Technical Description

The SNK DC-4ASM is a high-precision vertical machining center engineered for demanding mold and die applications. Featuring a super-rigid double-column design with a massive 430mm x 430mm square ram and large-diameter curvic coupling, this machine delivers exceptional stability during heavy roughing and fine finishing operations. The DC-4ASM accommodates workpieces up to 33,000 lbs on table surfaces measuring 157.4" x 78.7" (expandable to 196.8" x 78.7"). Standard spindle specifications include a #50 taper operating at 6,000 RPM with 35 HP, upgradeable to 7,500 RPM and 50 HP for enhanced material removal rates. The machine is equipped with a 40-position automatic tool changer (expandable to 90 tools) featuring rapid tool change capability. The 4-axis system provides X-axis travel of 167.3" (optional 246"), Y-axis travel of 125.9", and Z-axis travel of 31.4" (optional 39.3"), with rapid traverse rates reaching 800 IPM across all axes and cutting feeds up to 600 IPM. An optional 5-axis configuration and dual-pallet system are available for increased production flexibility. The machine incorporates state-of-the-art Fanuc DCS-IV CNC control technology, optimizing high-speed, high-precision cutting capabilities. Its comprehensive attachment compatibility further expands machining versatility, making it ideal for complex component production in aerospace, medical, and industrial manufacturing sectors requiring superior precision and rigidity.
