SNK PM-6A VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER

This vertical 5-axis machining center features a massive table size of 720" (L) x 120" (W) capable of supporting workpieces up to 300,000 lbs, designed for extremely heavy-duty machining applications. The machine utilizes a #50 taper vertical spindle with a maximum speed of 4,000 RPM powered by a 30 HP motor rated for 30 minutes, providing robust torque and stability for machining large parts. Tool handling is manual with a single tool position, optimized for specialized heavy machining tasks rather than high-speed tool changes. The 5 axes include X, Y, Z linear travels of 720", 84", and 28" respectively, with fast feed rates of 200 inches per minute and rapid traverse speeds up to 400 IPM on these axes. Two rotary axes (A and B) allow ±50° of rotation to enable complex multi-angle machining. The machine’s design supports machining of extremely large parts typical in aerospace, heavy machinery, or large mold manufacturing sectors. The CAT50 spindle taper supplies enhanced rigidity and tool holding capacity ideal for demanding cutting conditions.
