Technical Description
The Sodick ALC600G Wire EDM machine is a high-precision CNC wire electrical discharge machine featuring rigid linear motor drives and advanced SPW generator control. It offers a machining travel of 23.62 inches (X), 15.75 inches (Y), and 13.78 inches (Z), supporting workpieces up to 1000 kg with dimensions of 98.19 x 114.17 x 92.32 inches and a weight of approximately 10,142 lbs. The machine incorporates Sodick’s proprietary "i-Groove Plus" wire rotation technology, which rotates the wire during finishing passes to significantly reduce wire consumption and maintain consistently fresh wire surfaces, improving surface quality and geometric accuracy.
Equipped with absolute linear scales and linear motors for the X, Y, U, and V axes, the ALC600G ensures exceptional positioning accuracy with a 10-year warranty. The integrated Digital PIKA W Plus circuit optimizes discharge pulses for superior surface finishes, enabling surface roughness as low as Ra 0.05 µm. SODICK Fine Corner Control enhances corner precision while step-cut and taper cutting features allow complex 3D shapes with up to 45° taper flex.
Additional features include a quadruple filtration system, automatic wire threading, dielectric cooling unit, voltage stabilizer, and a 19" TFT color display with LAN and USB interfaces. The machine also includes energy-saving design, intelligent Q3vic EDW 3D programming, and an ergonomic ceramic work zone, contributing to efficient, stable, and eco-friendly wire EDM operations suitable for high-precision mold, die, and component manufacturing. Optional modules include high-column Z-axis extension, automation systems, and optic measurement capabilities.
