A+Technical Description
The Sodick ALN800G is a rigid linear motor-driven wire electrical discharge machining (EDM) system engineered for high-precision cutting applications. This machine incorporates Sodick's next-generation Smart Pulse Wire (SPW) control technology with an integrated Smart Pulse Generator, significantly enhancing cutting speed and precision while reducing the number of passes required to achieve desired surface finishes. The ALN800G features flat rigid linear motor drives on its X, Y, U, and V axes, coupled with absolute linear glass scales ensuring exceptional positioning accuracy and a 10-year positioning guarantee. The machine accommodates workpieces up to 3,000 kg (6,614 lbs) with a work tank measuring 1,500 x 1,040 mm. Wire diameter range spans 0.004" to 0.012" (0.05 to 0.30 mm), enabling fine detail machining. Control functions combine tablet interface and classic interface design into a responsive 19" LCD touch panel display. The machine incorporates Intelligent Q³vic EDM technology, enabling direct importation of 3D CAD files with automatic programming that detects machinable profiles, substantially reducing programming time. An optional Fixed Jet Automatic Wire Threader supports both submerged and non-submerged threading operations. The ALN800G delivers 60% energy consumption reduction compared to conventional EDM equipment, reflecting Sodick's eco-friendly design philosophy. Optional SPW-E control provides up to 8-axis simultaneous control for advanced "Turn and Burn" multi-axis machining capabilities. The machine's dimensions measure 130.31" x 132.28" x 106.10" with a total weight of 12,125 lbs.
