Technical Description

The Sodick VZ500L is a high-precision CNC wire EDM machine featuring Sodick's LN2W control system. It offers an X-axis travel of 19.7 inches, Y-axis travel of 13.8 inches, and Z-axis travel of 9.8 inches, with additional U and V axis travels of ±3.15 inches, enabling complex tapering with a maximum angle of ±15 degrees. The machine supports workpieces up to 38" x 26" x 10" with a maximum weight capacity of 1,874 lbs. It utilizes fine wire diameters ranging from 0.005" to 0.011" for precision cutting. The VZ500L is equipped with direct-drive linear motors and linear glass scale feedback on the X, Y, U, and V axes, ensuring superior positioning accuracy and repeatability.
