Technical Description

The SOLBERGA SE2035 is a robust upright drill press engineered for precision metalworking and industrial applications. Featuring a 25-inch swing, it accommodates workpieces up to 25 inches in diameter for center drilling, with a 1.4-inch mild steel drilling capacity. The machine delivers variable spindle speeds from 90 to 3,610 RPM across eight selectable speeds, controlled via a helical and steel gearbox with dual-handle selection. Power ranges from 2.2 HP at low speeds to 3 HP at high speeds, providing adequate torque for demanding drilling operations in dense materials. The spindle employs a #4 Morse Taper with 6 inches of travel, enabling single-pass drilling depths up to 6 inches. A counterbalanced tension spring adjusts for varying tool weights, enhancing operational efficiency. The 16" × 20" cast-iron table features T-slots and integrated coolant channels, while the 12.6-inch throat depth permits drilling close to workpiece edges. Maximum spindle-to-table clearance reaches 32 inches, accommodating taller stock. The steel column supports a 360° adjustable drill head with vertical elevation capability. Construction includes a machined base plate with T-slots and coolant channels. Safety features include an electric thermal overload switch, no-volt release, and emergency stop functionality. The machine is available with manual or automatic power feed options and meets CE standards with included drill guard. Voltage configurations span 230V, 460V, and 3-phase systems, with additional 220V, 440V, and 575V options available.
