The South Bend Nordic 15 Engine Lathe (15x60) features a 15-inch swing over the bed, an 8.75-inch swing over the cross slide, and a 60-inch distance between centers. Powered by a 7.5 HP motor, it offers a spindle speed range of 40 to 2000 RPM with 16 standard speed changes. The spindle is equipped with a 2-inch bore, a D1-6 Camlock spindle nose, and a 6MT spindle taper. Included equipment consists of a Newall DP700 2-axis digital readout (DRO) and a steady rest. The lathe provides 54 longitudinal feed ranges spanning from 0.0025 to 0.152 inches per revolution, 54 cross feed ranges, 54 inch thread variations ranging from 1-5/8 to 96 T.P.I., and 41 metric thread variations. The tailstock is designed with a 4MT taper and 6 inches of quill travel.
