The STAR ECAS-12/20 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-performance, multi-axis CNC machine designed for precision turning and milling operations. Featuring a main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 0.780" and a turning length of 8.000", it supports bar diameters up to 0.500". The sub-spindle matches the main spindle’s turning capacity, enabling efficient secondary operations. Both spindles operate at up to 12,000 RPM with 5.0 HP, ensuring high-speed machining and excellent surface finishes. The machine is equipped with two tool carriers: a front toolpost supporting up to 4 turning tools and 3 rotary tools, and a rear toolpost supporting 2 turning and 2 rotary tools, allowing for versatile tooling configurations. With the ability to use up to 2 simultaneous cutting tools, the ECAS-12/20 maximizes productivity. Standard secondary milling and drilling functions are available on-center, off-center, with 'C' axis, and with 'Y' axis, providing flexibility for complex part geometries.
