Technical Description

The Starrag ECOSPEED F 2060 is a high-performance 5-axis horizontal machining center designed for complex, medium-sized aerospace structural components. It offers extensive travel ranges of 6,300 mm (248.03 in) in the X-axis, 3,000 mm (118.11 in) in the Y-axis, and 670 mm (26.378 in) in the Z-axis. The machine is powered by a 120 kW (160.9 hp) spindle capable of reaching up to 30,000 RPM, supporting high-speed machining with excellent torque characteristics and continuous operation in S1 mode. Equipped with the patented Sprint Z3 parallel kinematic machining head, it achieves rapid travel speeds of up to 50 m/min and accelerations of 9.81 m/s², enabling superior machining dynamics and precise multi-axis interpolation within a spherical cone of ±45 degrees. The tool magazine holds 129 tools with an HSK A63/80 taper, supporting versatile and efficient tool changing. Pallet dimensions are substantial at 2,500 mm wide by 6,000 mm long (98.425 by 236.22 inches), and the system supports load capacities up to 5,000 kg per pallet. The pallet system operates horizontally and can be tilted 90 degrees for machining setups. Advanced control is managed via CNC with integrated automation options for FMS applications, allowing for coordinated workflow and production efficiency.
