The Sugino XION-II is a compact vertical machining center engineered for precision micro-machining applications. This CNC system features a high-speed 40,000 RPM spindle with ISO #20 taper and 3.00 HP (30-minute rating), delivering exceptional accuracy of 1 µm with 0.88 µm circularity. The machine accommodates workpieces up to 176 lbs on a table measuring 23.6" × 11.8", making it ideal for small, intricate components. The standard three-axis configuration offers 11.81" travel in both X and Y axes and 7.87" in the Z axis, with rapid traverse rates reaching 707 IPM across all axes. The automatic tool changer (ATC) provides 13 standard tool positions, expandable to 21 with optional configuration, and achieves rapid 1-second tool change times. Optional upgrades include an indexing or rotary table for enhanced part manipulation and a fourth axis for expanded machining capabilities.
