A+Technical Description
The Fagor 8055TC CNC control system is a robust, versatile control designed for large production runs and precision machining operations. This control supports up to 7 axes and 2 spindles with both ISO and Fagor programming capabilities. The 8055TC features a 10.4" color VGA TFT LCD display with solid graphics and zoom functionality, enabling intuitive operator interaction through symbol keys and interactive graphic data entry. The system offers multiple operating modes including execution, single block, MDI/teach-in, jog/manual, conversational, and communications modes. It accommodates up to 256 tools with automatic tool calibration and inspection capabilities, reducing setup time for lot work and automatic part repetition. The control supports full-range canned cycles including turning, facing, and taper turning at two levels. Connectivity options include RS-232 serial communication (115,200 baud rate), USB ports for easy program uploading, and optional Ethernet (TCP-IP protocol) and CAN interfaces. The integrated PLC features 16 digital inputs and 8 outputs as standard, expandable to 40 inputs and 24 outputs through remote CAN modules. Advanced machining capabilities include spindle orientation (M19), spindle synchronization, linear/circular/helical interpolation, tangential control with RTCP, and retrace functionality. The control manages up to 4 spindle speed ranges using M41-M44 functions for gear selection, accommodating variable torque and speed requirements. With 999,999 main programs supported and 15 nesting levels, combined with the 32-inch swing and 150-inch machining length, this configuration suits high-precision production environments.
