The SW (Schmidt & Weitz) W08-22 is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for precision 5-axis CNC machining. It features a work envelope with X-axis travel of 31.5 inches, Y-axis travel of 35.4 inches, and Z-axis travel of 25.6 inches, suitable for large and complex workpieces. The machine is driven by a powerful 93.9 HP spindle delivering speeds up to 17,500 RPM, utilizing an HSK-A63 tool taper for high rigidity and accuracy. The tool changer accommodates up to 84 tools, enabling efficient machining with minimum downtime. The W08-22 employs advanced direct-drive technology on all axes to ensure rapid acceleration and high positioning accuracy, typically within 0.008 mm tolerance range. It supports twin spindle operation with a spindle distance of 800 mm for simultaneous machining, increasing productivity.
