Technical Description

The Takumi USA H12 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-rigidity, thermally stable 3-axis CNC machine designed for precision and high-speed machining, suitable for aerospace, die/mold, and other demanding applications. It features a 59.1" x 37.8" table capable of supporting workpieces up to 5,512 lbs with optional support for indexing or rotary tables. The spindle is horizontal with a Big PlusĀ® CAT 40 taper (optional BBT 40), delivering 15,000 rpm and 25 HP (30-minute rating), ensuring high rigidity and reduced tool deflection through its direct-drive design and Big PlusĀ® tooling interface. Its swing-arm tool carrier accommodates 30 tools, enabling efficient machining without pallet changers. Axes travel 53.2" (X), 37.4" (Y), and 23.6" (Z), each with rapid traverse rates up to 1,181 ipm and max feed rates of 787 ipm for dynamic cutting performance. The machine incorporates a ladder design bridge with hand-scraped contact areas, linear scales, roller-type rails, and direct-coupled ballscrews to enhance accuracy, repeatability, and rigidity. The integrated washdown and chip management system supports extended operation with minimal downtime. Controlled by Fanuc 31i-MB CNC with AI Contour Control for smooth, precise machining, the H12 ensures superior surface finish and part quality. Optional thermal spindle compensation technology and an active spindle chiller maintain thermal stability for long cycle consistency.
