The Toyoda FH800SX-I is a high-performance horizontal machining center engineered for large, demanding components. It features a 31.5" x 31.5" worktable capable of supporting workpieces up to 5,500 lbs, with travel ranges of 57.1" (X), 49.2" (Y), and 61" (Z), all moving at rapid traverse rates of 2,127 ipm. The machine is equipped with a horizontal CAT50 spindle delivering a standard maximum speed of 6,000 RPM, with optional upgrades to 8,000 or 15,000 RPM for increased machining versatility. The spindle is powered by a 40 HP motor (30-minute rating), providing robust cutting power for heavy-duty applications. Tool handling is facilitated by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 60 tools, expandable up to 121. Tool change times are optimized at approximately 4.4 seconds, enhancing machining efficiency. A standard dual-pallet changer system supports two pallets, facilitating continuous production with minimal downtime. The FH800SX-I operates on a 4-axis setup (no U axis), incorporating rigid Meehanite cast iron construction for stability and precision.
