Technical Description

The Atrump (Trump Turn) RL-2440NC is a Taiwanese-built flat-bed CNC lathe with a 24 in. swing over the bed, 16 in. swing over the cross slide, and 40 in. between centers. It uses a D1-8 spindle nose with a 3-3/8 in. spindle bore, driven by a 10 hp spindle motor, and is built on 13.78 in. wide bed ways. Machine weight is approximately 5,500 lbs. Current production units of this model are fitted with a Centroid T-400S control offering both conversational and G-code programming, auto lubrication and coolant systems, dual handwheels, and USB/RS-232/Ethernet connectivity; the exact control fitted to a 2010-built unit may differ from current production and was not confirmed for that vintage, so it is not stated here.
