The TSUGAMI BE12 is a precision horizontal Swiss-type CNC lathe engineered for high-volume production of small parts up to 0.470" diameter. This three-axis machine features dual spindles—a main spindle and sub-spindle—each rated at 12,000 RPM with 3.00 HP, enabling simultaneous cutting operations to maximize productivity and minimize cycle times. The main spindle accommodates workpieces up to 6.690" in length with a maximum bar diameter of 0.470". The machine employs a dual-slide tool configuration with a front slide and rear slide, providing exceptional flexibility for complex machining sequences. The front tool carrier accommodates up to five turning tools and four rotary tools, while the rear carrier holds five turning tools and three rotary tools, allowing up to two simultaneous cutting tools. Both tool carriers feature rotary capabilities at 8,000 RPM with 1.00 HP each, enabling drilling, milling, and tapping operations without repositioning the workpiece. The standard three-axis configuration is upgradeable to four axes with optional B-axis functionality for enhanced machining capabilities.
