The Tsugami/Rem Sales MU26 is a compact CNC horizontal Swiss-type turning center designed for complex small parts manufacturing with 1" capacity. Featuring dual main spindles and a sub-spindle, all operating at 6,000 RPM with 15 HP and 7.33 HP respectively, the MU26 enables simultaneous dual-tool cutting for enhanced productivity. The machine accommodates two 8-station turrets with balanced cutting geometry and supports up to 4 rotary tools per turret at 5,400 RPM with 1.87 HP each. With a 6-axis standard configuration expandable to 7 axes optionally, the MU26 delivers rapid traverse rates of 787 IPM across X, Y, and Z axes with maximum feed rates of 236 IPM, enabling aggressive material removal and fine finishing in single setups. The Z-axis stroke of 11.220" combined with X-axis travel of 3.140" provides adequate workzone for intricate machining operations. Fanuc 18i-TB CNC control ensures precise part repeatability. The rigid square-way design eliminates hydraulics for improved thermal stability and accuracy, while the compact footprint conserves floor space. Near-instant stock advancement through a unique collet clamping system minimizes changeover time. Standard amenities include a work light, flood coolant system, and parts catcher unit, making it ideal for high-precision, high-volume production of medical, aerospace, and automotive components requiring complex turning, drilling, boring, and milling operations in a single setup.
