Technical Description

The Victor Taichung Vcenter-AX800 is a high-performance vertical machining center featuring a robust work envelope with X, Y, and Z travels of 63", 27.5", and 23.6" respectively, accommodating large workpieces. It is equipped with a powerful 29.5 hp built-in direct drive spindle delivering up to 15,000 RPM and 22 kW/167 Nm torque at a low base speed of 1,060 RPM, optimizing material removal rates and high-speed machining capabilities. The spindle uses a BT-40 taper and is designed with a special bearing layout to minimize thermal deformation and vibration, ensuring high precision. This machine integrates a 40-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) and a highly rigid box slideway structure to reduce vibration and support heavy cutting operations. It is controlled by the CNC FANUC 0i-MD system, which offers advanced digital servo control, high-speed processing, multiple-axis interpolation, and extensive functions such as rigid tapping, flexible feed control, automatic data backup, and operation monitoring. The FANUC control supports up to 4-axis simultaneous control and provides precise tool and spindle control for complex machining tasks. The Vcenter-AX800 is designed with ergonomic and aesthetic features including LED work lights, full coverage splash guards, and an auto door for tool magazine protection. Additional system components include spindle oil cooling, oil-air lubrication, and optional dynamic balancing for reduced spindle vibration at high speeds, contributing to stable accuracy and extended tool life. It supports 5-axis machining with a swivel head and rotary table for enhanced versatility in complex part manufacturing.
