Technical Description

The Victor Taichung Vturn-36/125 is a 2-axis CNC slant-bed lathe from Victor Taichung Machinery Works (Taichung, Taiwan). It uses a genuine 45-degree one-piece slant bed with hardened box slideways (HRC 55) and a built-in 2-step gearbox to raise cutting torque at low spindle speeds. Standard bar capacity is 91 mm, with a 160 mm large-spindle-bore (LSB) option for bar/pipe work at reduced speed. Maximum turning diameter is 550 mm (458 mm with the C-axis/live-tooling option) and maximum turning length is 1,255 mm. The spindle carries an A2-8 nose with a standard 12-inch hydraulic chuck (A2-11 optional for the CV/LSB configuration), max spindle speed 2,500 rpm (2,000 rpm optional), driven by a FANUC motor rated 22 kW continuous / 26 kW 30-minute (30/37 kW available as an upgrade). The standard turret carries 10 stations (12 with the optional C-axis/live-tooling package), tool shank 32 mm, max boring bar diameter 50 mm. Standard equipment includes a programmable tailstock, chip conveyor, and automatic forced lubrication. The control is a FANUC 0i-T. Machine footprint is approximately 5.2 x 2.3 x 2.2 m and net weight is about 9,100 kg.
