The YAMA SEIKI GOODWAY GA-3000 is an ultra-performance CNC horizontal turning center engineered for heavy-duty production machining. This machine features a powerful 3,000 RPM main spindle with 25 HP capacity, delivering maximum turning diameter and length capabilities of 19.69" and 36.57" respectively, accommodating workpieces up to 340 kg when supported by chuck and tailstock. The machine is equipped with a 10" chuck and accepts bar stock up to 2.95" diameter. The GA-3000 incorporates dual turret tool stations with capacity for 12 turning tools and 12 rotary tools, enabling efficient multi-operation machining cycles. A dedicated rotary tool spindle operates at 4,000 RPM with 6 HP for secondary operations. The machine operates on a two-axis CNC platform (X and Z) with rapid traverse rates of 788 ipm on all axes, providing positioning accuracy of ±0.0002" and repeatability of ±0.0001". It is controlled by FANUC Oi-TD CNC control and features super-rigid box-way construction with heavy-duty roller bearings to withstand the spindle's high torque output—2.5 to 4 times greater than standard spindles. The machine requires AC 200/220V, 3-phase, 38 kVA power supply and maintains a 40-liter hydraulic system and 200-liter coolant reservoir with 3/4 HP coolant pump rated at 60 PSI, ensuring optimal cooling and lubrication during extended production runs.
