YASDA H40I HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The Yasda H40i is a high-precision 5-axis horizontal machining center engineered for complex, high-mix, and low-volume production. It features a rigid machine structure with ribbed cast iron construction and roller-type guideways with retainers on the X, Y, and Z axes, ensuring vibration damping and static accuracy. The machine offers generous travels of 34.45" (X), 29.13" (Y), and 26.97" (Z) with a 15.75" x 15.75" table supporting up to 440 lbs workpiece weight. The 40-taper Big Plus spindle is direct drive type with a 20,000 rpm top speed and 29 HP (30-minute rating) to accommodate high-speed, precision cutting on various material types. The spindle is designed for minimal thermal distortion to maintain optimal tool performance and fine surface finishes. This machine includes 5 axes: linear X-Y-Z and rotary A (360°) and B (230°) axes, both powered by high-speed direct drive motors enabling simultaneous 5-axis machining with rapid traverse rates up to 1,965 ipm on linear axes. The tool system features an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard 60-tool magazine, expandable up to 120 tools, with a tool change chip time of 4 seconds. A pallet changer with two pallets is standard, enabling efficient job setup and reduced downtime. Control is typically via FANUC 31i series CNC, complemented by optical scale feedback for precise positioning.
