Technical Description

The YASDA PX30i is a precision 5-axis vertical machining center engineered for high-volume, high-mix production applications. Featuring a robust work envelope of 680×400×500mm (26.79"×15.80"×19.70"), the machine delivers exceptional versatility for complex geometries and demanding materials including hardened steel, titanium, and inconel. The B-axis (tilt table) ranges from -125° to +65°, while the C-axis (rotary table) provides continuous 360° rotation at speeds up to 125 rpm, enabling sophisticated multi-sided machining. The spindle operates at 20,000 rpm with a 7/24 taper No. 40 (Big Plus) configuration and delivers high torque for aggressive cutting operations. An automatic tool changer accommodates up to 323 standard tools (expandable to 513 optional), supporting tool diameters up to ø80mm (ø150mm optional) and lengths to 300mm, facilitating extended unmanned operation. The machine is equipped with optical scale feedback for precise positioning, achieving excellent accuracy suitable for precision parts, drilling, face milling, boring, and general milling applications. Its rigid structure minimizes thermal deformation, ensuring stable precision machining and highly accurate positioning. Controlled by a FANUC 31i-B5 CNC system, the PX30i incorporates advanced 5-axis simultaneous machining functions with high-speed, smooth tool center point compensation for superior surface finishes and reduced cycle times. The self-contained multi-pallet stacking system with 32-position automatic pallet changer enables continuous production scheduling, making it ideal for aerospace, defense, and automotive manufacturers requiring integrated high-precision machining and automation.
