A+Technical Description
This vertical machining center features a spacious 50" x 23.2" work table capable of supporting workpieces up to 3,000 lbs, with optional support for index and rotary tables to expand machining capabilities. The machine is equipped with a vertically-oriented HSK spindle delivering 18,000 RPM as standard, with an optional upgrade to 24,000 RPM for high-speed applications. The 27 HP main spindle motor (optional 25 HP configuration) provides substantial cutting power for demanding operations. The automatic tool changer accommodates 30 tools standard or 24 tools optionally, with an exceptionally fast 3.5-second tool change time and 6-second chip-to-chip capability, enabling rapid production cycles. The machine operates on a three-axis configuration (X, Y, Z) with optional fourth-axis capability for complex multi-sided machining. All linear axes feature 40" travel on both X and Y axes and deliver consistent rapid traverse speeds of 1,180 ipm, with maximum feed rates of 590 ipm across all axes. This combination of extended travel distances, high-speed spindle capabilities, generous workpiece capacity, and rapid tool changing makes the machine suitable for precision milling, boring, drilling, and complex finishing operations across aerospace, automotive, and heavy industrial applications.
