A+Technical Description
The ZPS-CNC MCV 2316 Vertical Machining Center is a robust 3-axis CNC machine designed for heavy-duty machining with a large worktable measuring 90" x 62" and supporting workpieces up to 6,000 lbs. It features a vertical spindle with HSK A100 taper (optional CAT 50) running up to 12,000 RPM, powered by a 44 HP motor rated for 30 minutes. The machine is equipped with a 10-tool double-arm random position tool changer with a 9-second tool change time. Optional configurations include support for indexing or rotary tables and a pallet changer system supporting two pallets. The travel capabilities include 78.7" on the X-axis, 47" on the Y-axis, and 31" on the Z-axis, all capable of rapid and feed rates hitting 1,179 inches per minute. The machine can be optionally equipped with a 4th axis. Its heavy-duty build and large travel make it suitable for large, complex parts requiring high precision and productivity. The spindle and feed drive system accommodate heavy cutting loads typical of large components thanks to the high horsepower spindle and large work envelope. The optional pallet systems facilitate automated part handling and reduced cycle times. This vertical machining center is ideal for industries such as aerospace, automotive, and heavy machinery manufacturing where large, high-mass components and precision are critical. The combination of powerful spindle capabilities, versatile tooling, and robust structural design supports efficient high-volume and precision machining operations.
