2006 Biesse Skipper 100 CNC Throughfeed Drilling and Machining Center, 4.8HP, Double-Sided

The 2006 Biesse Skipper 100 is a CNC throughfeed drilling and machining center designed for simultaneous top and bottom processing of panel materials. This double-sided machining center features an innovative panel handling system with a clamping system that utilizes automatically positioned vices, eliminating the need for manual jigs. The machine’s working capacity supports X-axis lengths from 3.5 to 118 inches, Y-axis widths from 2.7 to 39.4 inches, and Z-axis thicknesses from 0.3 to 2.36 inches. Positioning speeds reach 394 FPM in the X-axis, 295 FPM in the Y-axis, and 98 FPM in the Z-axis. The machining configuration includes two opposing operating sections. Each section is equipped with a 4.8 HP electrospindle capable of speeds between 7,000 and 18,000 RPM, utilizing HSK D-50 adapters for manual quick-tool changes. The boring units consist of top and bottom blocks, each featuring 29 vertical spindles (17 in X and 12 in Y), 10 horizontal spindles (8 in X and 2 in Y), and an X-axis grooving saw with a 150 mm diameter blade operating at 5,000 RPM. Control is managed via a PC-based Biesseworks or NC 1000 system, which is DXF compatible and includes real-time size detection for automatic machining adjustment. The system is equipped with an automatic lubrication system, sound enclosure, and safety fencing. Physical dimensions are approximately 287 to 307 inches in length, 173 to 184 inches in width, and 79 to 98 inches in height, with a weight of approximately 6,600 to 8,000 lbs.
