The Rush Model 132C is a versatile, accurate, and rugged drill and tool grinder engineered for rapid setup and high performance. It features a drill and tool diameter capacity ranging from 0.080 inches (2 mm) to 1.25 inches (32 mm) and handles straight shanks within the same range alongside Morse taper shanks up to #4. Designed to grind tools with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 10 flutes, it accommodates a maximum standard drill length of 14 inches (356 mm), which can be expanded up to 22 inches (559 mm) using an optional spindle extension (P/N SP32). Powered by a 0.5 HP motor, the machine operates at a maximum speed of 3,450 RPM. Its core functional features include built-in point splitting and web thinning capabilities for high-speed steel (HSS) or carbide drill points. The machine easily handles step drills, taps, reamers, countersinks, and end mill ends with minimal setup adjustments. A standard quick-change workhead can be exchanged in under a minute with an optional air-bearing attachment for grinding end mill outer diameters. For precision operation, the assembly incorporates adjustable tapered gibs on ways, graduated handwheels in thousandths of an inch or metric increments, and a sealed ball-bearing spindle designed to minimize runout.
