Technical Description

The Amera Seiki TC-10 is a compact two-axis CNC turning center sold by Amera-Seiki, then based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and controlled by a Fanuc 0T-C. It swings 13.78 in, with a maximum turning diameter of 8.66 in and a maximum turning length of 11.81 in. A 6 in chuck is standard and bar capacity is 1-5/8 in. The spindle has an A2-5 nose, a 2.12 in bore and 3.15 in front bearings, and reaches 6,000 rpm with a 15 hp maximum-rated motor. Tooling is an 8-station turret that indexes in 0.2 seconds and takes 3/4 in square shanks and 1-1/4 in round bars. Slide stroke is 5.41 in on X and 13.39 in on Z, with rapid traverse of 787 ipm on both axes. The X and Z ball screws are 1.0 in and 1.26 in in diameter. Machine weight is 6,000 lb. Amera-Seiki sold it alongside the larger TC-1 turning center and the GT-32 gang-tool lathe.
