The AMERICAN 32” Manual Lathe is a heavy-duty engine lathe featuring a 40" x 156" center-to-center distance and a 40" swing over the bedways, supporting large workpieces with precision. It offers a 26" swing over the cross slide and is equipped with hardened bedways for durability and accuracy in machining operations. The lathe supports inch threading and provides spindle speeds ranging from 6 to 600 RPM, allowing for a wide range of machining tasks from roughing to finishing. This machine includes power rapid traverse for efficient tool movement and a quick change toolpost for rapid tooling adjustments. The spindle accommodates a 32" diameter 4-jaw chuck, enabling secure holding of irregular or asymmetrical parts, while two steady rests enhance workpiece support for long or flexible stock. The lathe comes with a chip pan and coolant pump system to manage debris and lubrication during operations, minimizing wear and improving surface finishes.
