A+Technical Description
This CNC machining system features a compact design with a machine base footprint of 31" (depth) by 14" (width) and a required operating space of 40" by 22". It supports a bar capacity of 0.75" and offers a Z-axis travel of 17", enabling vertical machining versatility. The structure is built from hard anodized casting aluminum tooling plate for durability and stability, complemented by a polycarbonate safety shield and sliding cover for user safety and convenient barstock access. The system is powered via a standard 120V grounded wall outlet and includes low-energy blue LED lighting for enhanced visibility in the machining area. Cooling is managed through an adjustable mist system located precisely at the machining point to optimize tool life and surface finish. Spindle options include a main 300W Teknic servo motor running at 1800 RPM, alongside two 500W air-chilled live tool spindles with ER11 collets capable of 2000 to 10000 RPM for high-precision rotational tooling operations. Motion control is achieved with three NEMA23 stepper motors, each capable of rapid speeds up to 90 inches per minute on the X, Y, and Z axes. Tooling capacity includes six external tool slots (12mm x 12mm) for outside diameter tools and five internal tool slots (16mm diameter) for inside diameter tools, with a 4.5-inch distance from the ID tool rack to the guide bushing plate to accommodate precise internal machining. The machine weighs approximately 150 lbs, maintaining a balance between portability and rigidity suitable for versatile machining applications.
