The Bharat Machine Tools NHD 400 Manual Lathe is a heavy-duty all-geared engine lathe designed for high precision and robust performance in demanding industrial environments. Featuring a 31.5-inch (800 mm) swing over bed and a 19.3-inch (490 mm) swing over cross slide, this lathe accommodates large workpieces with ease. The distance between centers is 196.9 inches (5,000 mm), enabling the machining of long components. The lathe is equipped with a 4.1-inch (105 mm) spindle bore, allowing for the passage of sizable bar stock. Powered by a 10.1 HP motor, the NHD 400 delivers consistent torque and reliable operation, supporting a maximum spindle speed of 700 RPM for efficient turning and threading tasks. The bed is constructed from 25-grade cast iron, ensuring excellent rigidity, vibration damping, and long-term accuracy. Bed guide ways are hardened and precision ground for smooth movement and extended service life.
