The CUBIC GTM-42D is a five-axis horizontal machining center engineered for precision turning and milling operations. It features dual main spindles, each delivering 10 horsepower at 4,000 RPM, capable of accommodating workpieces up to 5.120" in turning diameter and 6.300" in length, with a maximum bar diameter of 1.650". The machine incorporates a 6.000" chuck diameter for secure workholding. A sub-spindle operating at 3,000 RPM with 4.00 HP provides secondary machining capabilities. The multi-tool square turret accommodates up to 15 turning tools and 11 rotary tools, with a dedicated rotary tool station providing 3,000 RPM at 2.00 HP. The system supports simultaneous operation of a single cutting tool with full 5-axis coordination. Linear motion is achieved through generous travel distances: X-axis 8.860", Y-axis 15.160", and Z-axis 9.250", each with rapid traverse and feed rates of 590 IPM.
