The CUBIC STS-42 Horizontal Machining Center is a precision twin-spindle lathe designed for high-efficiency turning operations with a maximum turning diameter of 3.150" and turning length of 8.660". It features twin main spindles each with 6,000 RPM and 5 HP power, complemented by a 2 HP sub spindle also running at 6,000 RPM, enabling simultaneous dual-side machining. The main spindle accepts chucks up to 6.000" diameter and bar stock up to 1.630". The machine is equipped with an 8-station turret tool carrier allowing for one simultaneous cutting tool operation. Its three-axis servo system offers X-axis travel of 5.900" and Z-axis travel of 10.430", both axes capable of rapid traverse and max feed rates of 708 inches per minute, enabling fast and precise tool movements. The integration of a turret tool carrier maximizes tooling flexibility for varied turning tasks.
