Technical Description
The Doosan (now DN Solutions) Lynx 2100A is a compact two-axis CNC turning center from the Lynx 2100 series. The 'A' version carries a 6 in chuck on an A2-5 spindle nose with a 61 mm (2.4 in) spindle bore and 51 mm (2.0 in) bar capacity. Swing is 600 mm (23.6 in) over the bed and 400 mm (15.7 in) over the saddle. Maximum turning diameter is 350 mm (13.8 in) and maximum turning length is 330 mm (13.0 in); the long-bed Lynx 2100LA extends this to 550 mm. The spindle turns up to 6,000 rpm on a 15 kW (15-minute) / 11 kW continuous motor and produces 127 N-m (93.7 ft-lb) of torque. Tooling is a 12-station turret that takes 25 mm square OD tools and 40 mm boring bars and indexes in 0.11 seconds. Travel is 205 mm on X and 340 mm on Z, with rapid traverse of 30 m/min on X and 36 m/min on Z. A tailstock with a 65 mm quill and MT4 live taper is fitted. The standard control is the Doosan-Fanuc i, with Siemens 828D offered. The machine is 2,320 mm long, 1,595 mm wide and 1,693 mm high, and weighs 3,100 kg (6,834 lb). Power consumption is 25.94 kVA.
