Technical Description

The Doosan (now DN Solutions) Lynx 220LMA is a CNC turning center with a C axis and live tooling from Doosan's Lynx 220 series, with the long bed ('L') and 6 in chuck ('A'). It carries a 6 in chuck on an A2-5 spindle nose with a 61 mm (2.4 in) through-hole and 51 mm (2.01 in) bar capacity. Maximum turning diameter is 250 mm (9.84 in) and maximum turning length is 510 mm (20.08 in). The spindle turns up to 6,000 rpm on a 15 kW (30-minute) / 11 kW continuous motor. The BMT turret has 12 stations (24 index positions), takes 20 mm OD tools and 32 mm boring bars, and drives rotary tools to 6,000 rpm on a 3.7 kW motor. Travel is 175 mm on X and 550 mm on Z, with 30 m/min rapids on X and 36 m/min on Z. A tailstock is standard on the L versions. The control is the Doosan-Fanuc i series. The machine is 2,630 mm long, 1,600 mm wide and 1,655 mm high, and weighs 3,300 kg (7,275 lb).
