Technical Description
The Doosan Lynx 220LMSC is a compact horizontal CNC turning center from the Lynx 220 series, equipped with live tooling, a C-axis and a right-hand sub-spindle for front and back machining in one cycle. Swing over bed is 600 mm (23.6 in) and swing over saddle 400 mm (15.7 in); maximum turning diameter is 300 mm (11.8 in) and maximum turning length 510 mm (20.1 in). The main spindle takes an 8-inch chuck on an A2-6 nose, has a 76 mm (3.0 in) through hole and 65 mm (2.6 in) bar capacity, and runs to 4,500 rpm on a 15/11 kW (20.1/14.8 hp, 30 min/continuous) motor with 0.001-degree C-axis indexing. The sub-spindle runs to 6,000 rpm with a 5.5/3.7 kW motor, a 43 mm through hole and its own C-axis, and travels 550 mm on the B axis. A 12-station BMT turret with 24-position indexing takes 20 mm OD tools and indexes in 0.11 s; driven tools reach 6,000 rpm on a 3.7 kW motor. Travels are X 205 mm and Z 550 mm, with rapids of 30 m/min on X and 36 m/min on Z. The machine measures 2,763 x 1,627 x 1,655 mm, weighs 3,500 kg (7,716 lb) and runs a Doosan-Fanuc i series control.
